Much of the frailty that accompanies advanced age can be mitigated through exercise. Even moderate activity makes a difference. Frailty often leads to impairment and the loss of independence — developments that can be preventable.

Phillips recently offered this preventive-care advice for older people:

Sure shots: ”Get a flu shot every winter and a vaccination against pneumonia once after you turn 65,” she says. The American Geriatrics Society also recommends a single vaccination against shingles after age 60 and a tetanus booster shot every 10 years.

Fighting the fall: Talk to your healthcare provider about falls and what you can do to prevent them. Each year, almost one-third of adults age 65 and older fall, resulting in nearly 450,000 hospitalizations and 16,000 deaths, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Getting rid of throw rugs, installing easy-to-grab bars in the bathroom and altering medication regimens can minimize the potential for a tumble.

Medication awareness: Your doctor should know every prescription, over-the-counter medication, supplement and vitamin you’re taking. Once a year, Phillips says, review the list, asking, “Do I need to keep taking this?”

Checkup savvy: Have your hearing, vision and blood pressure tested every year, get dental checkups annually and cholesterol tests at least every five years (more often if your levels are high).

Weighty (non)issue: Don’t worry about a few extra pounds. “People 65 and older actually do better with a little extra weight on them,” Phillips says. Getting sufficient nutrition is more important.

Early detection: Secondary prevention is aimed at finding illness early enough. This includes periodic screenings for colon cancer and mammograms for women who have a life expectancy of at least five years. Men should discuss prostate cancer screening with their doctors. Women can stop pap smears for cervical cancer after age 65 if three previous tests have been normal.

Supplemental help: Since bones thin with age, take calcium (at least 1,200 milligrams a day) and vitamin D (at least 600 international units) and periodically assess your risk of osteoporosis, Phillips says. Otherwise, she advises against taking vitamins, saying that older adults should get nutrients from well-balanced meals.

Stay healthy with testosterone

Smoke screen: If you’re a man and you have a history of smoking, you may want to get an abdominal aortic aneurysm screening once between the ages of 65 and 75, according to the American Geriatrics Society. Men are five times more likely than women to develop these bulges in the aorta, a major blood vessel, that can rupture and cause uncontrolled bleeding.

Why you need testosterone!

Take control: Tertiary prevention means controlling illnesses that exist. “Make sure you have good knowledge about your diabetes or heart disease and that you understand the things that can impact it and that you can manage,” Phillips says.

Once you hit middle age as a man, it may not be so easy to make room for healthy living. You may be getting tired more easily and, much to your surprise, discovering that you can’t do some of the same activities that you were able to in your 20s or even your 30s, without incurring any pain in parts of your body. If that is your situation, then consider these three tips for middle aged men. You just may be able to turn around those middle-aged doldrums into something coming close to healthy living once more.

1. Natural Dietary Supplements

Once you get to a certain age, taking in some natural dietary supplements is nothing to be ashamed of. Further, as a middle aged man, you have a higher risk of contracting certain illnesses and diseases that your younger counterparts simply do not have to worry about (yet). For instance, something that middle aged men are at a greater risk of getting is cardiovascular disease, so to stave this potentially lethal condition off as long as possible, take some vitamin C along with vitamin E supplements, and even some omega-3 fish oil. Natural calcium supplements are another thing that you ought to be getting if you’re in your middle age and a man. Since osteoporosis is a greater risk for you at this age, then you need calcium supplements to try and stave this off, too.

Learn how our Natural Testosterone Supplement can help you!

2. Eating Healthy

A healthy eating regimen goes hand-in-hand with getting your natural dietary supplements, should you want to keep your health even though you’re “over-the-hill” when you cross that all-significant milestone of 40. When you hit middle age, you will notice that you are more sensitive to salt, so a wise decision would be to reduce the amount of salt or sodium that you ingest. Salt has a tendency to retain water, and this may even be a component in developing high blood pressure, another toxic condition that you do not need as you cross the 40 mark. The biggest no-brainer is to lessen the fat that you consume, because eating too much fat will lead to heart disease. You can do simple acts like substituting margarine for butter or trimming the fat from meat before cooking it.

3. Exercise Regularly

Regular exercise is the third leg in this triad of healthy living tips for middle aged men. Some benefits of regular exercise are a lower risk for heart disease, a slowing of the hardening of your arteries, a reduction of weight and even a slowing down of the visible signs of aging. Just remember to always stretch before and after your exercise sessions, so to cut down on injuries.

There has been some talk of getting him an electric wheelchair, but he won’t have it. People who suggest such a replacement are not understanding the importance of regular cardiovascular exercise for maintaining physical and mental health. The activity clearly is also enriching for him, and presents some slightly new challenges every time he rides due to negotiating traffic, remembering routes, and making choices while rolling. The first enhancement would to get him to wear a helmet, which is conspicuously absent in the video.

He may be the oldest cyclist in the world. A woman who is believed to the longest-lived human that has been confirmed, at 122 years old, rode a bike up to the age of 88. At the rate he is going, Octavio might outlive her.

Fact: There are some diseases that are more common in older adults. However, getting old does not automatically mean poor health or that you will be confined to a walker or wheelchair. Plenty of older adults enjoy vigorous health. Preventive measures like healthy eating, exercising and managing stress can help reduce the risk of chronic disease and fall risk later in life.

MYTH: Memory loss is an inevitable part of aging.

Fact: You may eventually notice you don’t remember experiences as easily as in the past, and memories may take longer to retrieve. However, significant memory loss is not an inevitable result of aging. Brain training and new learning can occur at any age. And there are many things you can do to keep your memory sharp.

MYTH: You can’t teach an old dog new tricks.

Fact: One of the more damaging myths of aging is that after a certain age, you just won’t be able to try anything new or contribute things anymore. Quite the contrary. Older adults are just as capable of learning new things, thriving in new environments, and sharing their wisdom and experience with many generations. If you believe in yourself and have confidence in yourself, you are setting up a positive environment for change no matter what your age.

Andro400 is different from other workout supplements in that Andro400 is completely all natural. Other testosterone supplements cannot compare to all the benefits Andro400 has to offer. The level of testosterone in men peaks around the age of thirty but for some can even start to decline at age twenty-five. By the age of eighty an average man has a testosterone level of about twenty. There is definitely a correlation between aging and the levels of testosterone. Do low levels of testosterone cause aging or does aging cause low testosterone? Either way Andro400 can greatly help and may even reverse these effects. Some of the negative effects would be an increase in body fat, loss of energy and sex drive, decreased levels of all around strength and endurance, physical loss of muscle mass and body hair. With an increase in testosterone levels you can expect an enhanced sexual performance. Andro400 reduces body fat and cuts that stubborn built up belly fat. There is an increase in muscle mass and tone with an overall increase in strength. Your energy level greatly increases along with an overall improved sense of wellbeing from improved circulation and immunity. Andro400 can really turn back the clock and improve many aspects of your life. Men taking Andro400 were actually shown to show their testosterone level doubled after taking Andro400 for only 3 weeks.

Andro400 is completely safe for women and can provide many of the same benefits. Andro400 is not a hormone but a natural herb that only aids the production of testosterone. Women too take Andro400 for weight loss, increased energy, and can help with menstrual cramps.

He can outrun his kids!

By taking charge, you can have a real impact on your health and well-being. To improve your chances for a long healthy life, adopt some of the following habits of healthy, active centenarians – people who have lived well into their 10th and 11th decades:

Mind what goes into your body. Centenarians tend to eat well (but not overeat), refrain from smoking, and drink moderately (or not at all). Your best bet is to choose wholesome foods such as fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, beans, and a variety of fatty fish or fish oil supplements for a dose of omega-3fats. These foods provide the vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber that can help prevent chronic disease and keep weight and blood pressure in check. Some animal studies have also shown a link with calorie restriction and longer life. More research is needed, though, to see how this may affect humans.

Get moving. Experts agree there is no gray area when it comes to moving your body. Exercise is a proven way to prevent or delay many conditions like obesity, diabetes, osteoporosis, and heart problems. It can also ease arthritis pain, anxiety, stress and depression, which can all affect the aging process. Exercise also helps to reduce weight and blood pressure – factors shown to have a major impact on mortality.

Use your brain. Centenarians tend to engage in new and different activities and hobbies as they age. This may involve a second career, volunteering, taking up a musical instrument, writing or travel. Things that involve concentration, like crossword puzzles or reading, are often helpful.

Connect. Having a network of friends is part of the recipe for staying healthy. Whether this is through your church, family, volunteer work, leisure activities or community, it’s important to find someone and something you can connect with. This feeds into the desire to be needed and can give you a sense of purpose and belonging. Feeling connected can also help to reduce stress.

Be faithful. There is a link between religion – no matter what faith – and better mental health and well-being, research suggests. High levels of religious belief appear to help older adults in overall coping abilities and their positive outlook on life. Further, prayer – like meditation or yoga – may calm you, help lower blood pressure and bring “inner peace.”

Practice attitude and gratitude. People who live past 100 are generally better at handling stress and managing their emotions. They don’t dwell on things that cause stress in their lives. Good mental health goes hand-in-hand with good physical health. Having good humor, feeling gratitude and a positive attitude are important, too. Try making a list of things you’re grateful for to generate positive energy.

And last but not least – Testosterone could be the missing link between you and a long healthy life!

A study of men in their 70s and 80s found the quarter of the group who had the highest levels of testosterone were 30 per cent less likely to have heart disease or stroke than the other.

Study leader Ana Tivesten, at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Goteborg, Sweden, said: ‘What we can say is that elderly men with high testosterone levels are relatively protected against cardiovascular events, and therefore lower testosterone is a marker for increased cardiovascular risk.’

The team analysed results from 2,400 Swedish men for the study published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.

They accounted for health factors known to lower testosterone, such as obesity and heart disease.
However, the results do not conclusively prove that the hormone itself deserves the credit.
JoAnn Manson, from Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, who was not involved in the study, said: ‘Low testosterone may be a marker of other health conditions that put men at higher risk of cardiovascular disease.’
Potential reasons for why higher natural testosterone levels may be good for the heart include the fact that higher testosterone generally means less body fat and more lean muscle.

What’s needed, she added, is evidence from clinical trials that actually test whether testosterone replacement in older men cuts the risk of heart disease and stroke.

Those trials are ongoing and so far, she noted, the results are mixed on whether testosterone replacement improves “intermediate” outcomes like cholesterol or blood sugar levels.

This just in! No need for testosterone replacement theraphy. All Natural Testosterone Supplement Here.

What makes Andro400 different from other workout supplements and testosterone supplements is that it is a natural herb that in fact causes a persons’ own testosterone to be produced. Hundreds of thousands of people have used this natural herb around the world with many benefits. The way this happens is that it causes the pituitary gland to generate the production of the natural testosterone that prevents the build up of abdominal fat. Andro400 is not a testosterone pill itself, it aids the natural production of testosterone, this is what fuels your body’s fat burning system. Because Andro400 is a natural supplement it does not have immediate results and takes some time for your body to get it working through your system, cutting through long-standing abdominal fat. Results also vary for each person with people seeing weight loss immediately or up to several weeks later due to the amount of their original testosterone levels. People are expected to feel much more energized with Andro400, which can improve their workout routine and help better performance with many of their other day to day activities including sexual performance. Andro400 is not just for men, women can experience that same benefits and results. Many problems that come about with age such as fat build up and low energy are reversed with Andro400. This is a testosterone booster that has great effectiveness because of the role testosterone naturally plays in your body system. Andro400 can work for you in a way that energy drinks, diet pills and other unnatural pills do because it works with your body.
